This the place was so busy the staff were excellent and helpful the food was plentiful we were all happy the margaritas came in the pitcher and it happened to be happy hour so winner to us thanks

Party of 13 on a Saturday night 7pm . No reservations allowed to be made same day.. name will not be put on list until everyone in your parry shows up .. we were still seated in about 29 minutes so not bad at all.. waited about 15 minutes till we got chips once seated .. then about another 15 for drinks .. our poor waitress was good . Just very overwhelmed. She had a big section and seemed to have no help.. so while the food was excellent and service was good when she was there .. it took forever to get anything like refills... read more

I have been coming to the Mercado Juarez restaurants for nearly 35 years. My favorite (and most convenient) was the one on Northwest Highway, but that location closed about a year ago. I do not live in Dallas, but I am there for work often, and I try to hit Mercado Juarez on every visit. I have not been to Dallas for close to a year, and on my last trip, I decided to give this location a try again. I've been coming here for over 20 years and have never once been disappointed. Their tortillas are life. Puffy, handmade slices of heaven that are great with just butter. In my younger days I lived across the highway and would just order tortillas and queso to go. They're still just as awesome. Service is impeccable. The margaritas are great. My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite while in Fort Worth and ordered the beef fajita nachos. They were horrible! First of all, instead of being spread around a plate, it looked like they just plopped everything in a bowl. They were soggy and did not look appetizing at all! I've had piled nachos before, but these looked gross. All the beef was just in a pile and the cheese was a mess. It looked like a very lazy person prepared them. Awful presentation! It had been a while since my last visit, so I decided to give this place another chance. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet the service was inattentive. Our waitress rarely checked on us, and it often felt like we were forgotten. You be better off going to the store and but a Mexican meal frozen than pay for whya they call food beans were dry like under a heat lamp for for hours ,rice was just as bad the carne asada meat was as tuff as boot sole Dont waist you time or money on this place on north side drive If somebody gave you a gift card for free give it away ,not worth the time of gas to be disappointed
