Party of 13 on a Saturday night 7pm . No reservations allowed to be made same day.. name will not be put on list until everyone in your parry shows up .. we were still seated in about 29 minutes so not bad at all.. waited about 15 minutes till we got chips once seated .. then about another 15 for drinks .. our poor waitress was good . Just very overwhelmed. She had a big section and seemed to have no help.. so while the food was excellent and service was good when she was there .. it took forever to get anything like refills... read more

I have been coming to the Mercado Juarez restaurants for nearly 35 years. My favorite (and most convenient) was the one on Northwest Highway, but that location closed about a year ago. I do not live in Dallas, but I am there for work often, and I try to hit Mercado Juarez on every visit. I have not been to Dallas for close to a year, and on my last trip, I decided to give this location a try again. I've been coming here for over 20 years and have never once been disappointed. Their tortillas are life. Puffy, handmade slices of heaven that are great with just butter. In my younger days I lived across the highway and would just order tortillas and queso to go. They're still just as awesome. Service is impeccable. The margaritas are great. This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant. They seriously have the best salsa I have ever had in my life.

Crunchy chips and warm salsa with the right heat immediately checks boxes for me. I need to explore more of the menu because I tend to order enchiladas every time. I love their enchiladas for being everything enchiladas should be. Any wise food writer would list them as the best or at least amongst the best in the DWF. Price and value you meet here which a huge stand out mark. I plan on returning many times despite all the options out there.

I have been coming here for about 30 years. Still as good as ever. This place can accommodate ALL sizes parties. Small and large. We were there for a going away party and had only 1 waiter. This guy was great! About 30 people and he had food out in 20 minutes! Ok. Now for the food! Great fajitas and nachos. I had chicken fajita nachos and they were great and lots of cheese! We've been regulars at Mercado Juarez for well over 25 years for 2 very good reasons. Quality and Price. The food here just cannot be beat. My favorites are the beef fajitas and the shredded beef chimichanga. The fajitas are always cooked perfectly and are fall apart in your mouth tender. I have to say, this company is so big that staff is trained in professional customer hospitality. Female staffer was stellar. All this while wild winds and rains crashed outside and everyone got a tornado alert on their phones warning us all to take shelter in place. This is what I want in wait staff. Be cordial and friendly. Bring me what I ask for. Don't question what I told you I don't want. Thank you. Staff here is wonderful! Food was terrific. Took home a take home box.
