Best Mexican food we have had in a long time. The fresh tortillas are amazing. Beef fajitas and pork carnitas cooked to perfection! Just passing through but hope to return soon.
I've been coming here since before I was even born, and 10,000 times since then. For me, Mercado Juarez is the quintessential Tex-Mex. They don't rely on gimmicks, or seasonal items like green chili, but rather classic Tex-Mex staples. My favorite thing at MJ though is their warm salsa, makes you wanna shout hallelujah! Their fajitas are bomb, so are their fresh tortillas. Go on a busy evening and you'll find a full restaurant and mariachi bands. Just an all around solid spot.
This review is for the MJ salsa that is the best I have ever tasted. Came to town and was the my first stop and bought 6 jars of salsa - SIMPLY AMAZING
This was a great place to eat. Then the quality of the food took a turn to bland and thumbs down. However, our last adventure here was Fantastic! The food was great! It's been awhile but they have really made the dishes here taste better then before! We had a lot of people with us, so there was a lot of plates. Everything was phenomenal, the place was clean, our waitress was good and the atmosphere was peaceful... almost too quiet without Mariachi's and or music. Enchiladas, fajitas, rice, beans, chips and warm salsa were ju... read more
Consistently excellent food and service. Has been a family gathering location for years. The tortilla soup is always a "pick me up" and the fajitas are always perfect. Also, now they have sweet tea!
It's right off the I-35W. The food you assume is going to be pretty good based on the size and the fact that it's crowded. The food is mediocre. The tamales are good, and the charro beans are good. The rice lacks flavor, the chicken is weird and no corn tortillas available. The salsa tastes like tomato sauce with bouillon added in for flavor. I added lemon and a bit of salt to help but it still lacks that zing. Nothing here packs any heat or flavor.
The food was excellent. I had the Durango plate. The tamale was fantastic. The salsa and chips were really good. Our server was a nice gentleman who took good care us. We got there within happy hour so me and a coworker got the house margaritas, on the rocks with salt. They were pretty small, but it was happy hour, so...ya know. My other coworker got a virgin strawberry daiquiri. Not very sweet, so just know that before getting it. Will definitely go back the next time I'm in the Ft. Worth area.
My husband and I recently had an errand in North Fort Worth and he suggested Mercado Juarez. I hadn't been in years and years and wasn't excited about the idea but figured "why not?" What a delightful surprise! My expectations were low, but they shouldn't have been. The food was tasty and we received it promptly. Most notably, the service was excellent. We had an attentive, experienced server who didn't hover but was available when we needed her. We've dined at much fancier places recently, but the service at Mercado Juarez... read more
We wanted to go out and get something to eat after driving all day. Traffic was terrible so we walked from our hotel to the Juarez Cafe. It was across the street. Decor is old and the whole place could use a facelift. But, the food was great. I had the pork fajitas. They were tender and flavorful. The tortillas were fresh and hot. Our server was wonderful .
