This was our third time returning after 4 months since our first visit. The first dining experience was good. The next two were terrible. Come on!! You charge us for cocktail sauce for my calamari?? So us Ft worth downtown condo owners said no thanks!! Well this past Sunday evening post Dallas Cowboy's game my partner suggested us try y'all again. I walked in while my partner parked our car and the reception immediately asked do you have a reservation? I said no. Looked around and maybe one fourth to one third occupied ... read more

Service: 1 star (slow & unwelcoming) Food: 2.5 stars (average at best & overpriced) Decor: 5 stars (charming. nostalgic. love it!) We made a reservation for 9 at 6pm on a Tuesday. The restaurant was busy but not full. We had difficulty getting a chair for the 9th person as they kept insisting 5 people could sit along the bench seating in front of four small tables. Um, maybe 5 kids but not 5 adults while also being able to use our arms. Despite us trying their recommendation and it not working, we still had resistan... read more

Dropped in for a quick lunch today with high expectations. The restaurant itself is nice and inviting but the food left us seriously underwhelmed. I had the lobster roll which was not what I was expecting at all...it was basically cold mayo based salad with a small amount of lobster on flavorless bread. It was served with potato chips which weren't anything special...not what I expected for $27. I could've gone to Jason's deli and had a much more satisfying and flavorful sandwich with chips for half that price. My husband or... read more

Don't believe the hype. Came on an early Sunday afternoon with high hopes, only to be slapped in the face with mediocre food and crap service. Our waiter didn't know the menu, having to refer to someone else about how they serve oysters. Then when he returned we ordered drinks, only for him to come back and say that neither beer we ordered was available. We sprung extra for some cocktails that were run of the mill. Nothing bad, nothing great. Oysters were fine but you're doing yourself a disservice if you choose to eat here... read more

I'm a foodie and I was super excited to try this place, and actually have reservations next weekend I'm canceling. Found myself on Magnolia with an appetite at 11 today and stopped in for lunch with my girlfriend. Had two craft cocktails (meh), and the fried oysters (5/10), the deviled eggs (6/10), and the BBQ shrimp (that should be taken off then menu). Sent a pic to my to my buddy and he said "you at Pappadeaux"? I wished!! We shared the small filet & fries... it was the highlight. I was disappointed and wouldn't recom... read more

Great appetizers, but we're currently waiting after two hours for our entrees, and have only been approached once for drink refills. Can't recommend with the worst service I've experienced in FW. Edit: the restaurant was nice enough to comp our entire meal, but yikes. My red fish was way overcooked with a broth that was lackluster, and shrimp so tough. My wife's lobster roll was a shadow of the ones you get in austin at clarks or perlas. Bummed...

We were excited to try this new restaurant but the waitstaff left us disappointed. Food was ok. We started with the crab dip (a bit over cooked and a little heavy on the bell peppers) and the red fish beignets. The beignets were outstanding and the dill sauce that accompanied it was perfection. After our appetizers, our waitress then told us she was leaving and someone else would be taking care of us. Once the new guy made his way over he asked if he could bring some "water service" (which was clearly on the table), and the... read more

Not Impressed! I made reservations at Walloon's for my hubbies 73rd birthday. We arrived at 5:30 and the restaurant was already full. We were seated next to the door. ATMOSPHERE: Nicely appointed décor. Large horseshoe shaped bar with tables and booths on either side. Counter seats at the raw bar. The noise level is very high. SERVICE: Staff were punctual and checked back after each course. Food was delivered very quickly after ordering, almost fast food like. We were in and out within an hour. So if you like a leisurely d... read more

Cool vibes and awesome location. Great variety of cold water oysters. That's about the best part of the experience. I ordered the lobster roll and it was underwhelming. I left with the memory of a great brioche bun and lettuce. Lobster was chopped small and got lost in celery. Needless to say it was not worth 30 dollars. Fries were delicious, not worth the up charge. If you've ever had an east coast lobster roll, do not look for your expectations to be met. The mussels were good, but sauce was hard to eat without a spoon. As... read more
