The food was average in my opinion. I'm not sure if it's because I'm comparing it to the coast. We ordered the lobster roll and braised beef. The lobster roll could use more lobster meat. The braised beef was delicious. Service was okay. They didn't go over the oysters to us or offer us more drinks. They're probably still working on it, since it's still new.

Place has a great vibe and was loudly buzzing on a Tuesday early evening. Sat at the bar and was greeted a few minutes later by bartender. Ordered the Redfish bouillabaisse with shrimp and mussels. The bouillabaisse was very good as was the redfish. Perfectly cooked. However, the 2 shrimp were way overcooked and clearly had been in the pot for a while, rendering it a chew fest. It came with 3 small mussels and a small slice of grilled bread to complement the meal. Needless to say, I walked out hungry for $36. Was not... read more

This was their grand opening week and you could tell by the crowds. The place was packed and even though it was hopping we were seated within 15 minutes of our reservation time. Service was top notch, friendly and consistent. The food was amazing! We started with the Beer Battered Redfish Beignets and then moved onto the Seafood Mac & Cheese and the Lobster Roll. For dessert we had the Something Chocolate and the Bread Pudding. We will definitely be coming back to sample more of the menu. Perfect date night locale.

Food, service, and ambiance were all on point! Felt upscale but also very welcoming. We will be back to try the rest of the menu!

Walloon's is the latest brain child of Marcus Paslay. I am super excited they are open and you will be too. The food is amazing! We started with the Tuna Crudo and the Redfish Beignets. The red fish beignets were kind of like delicious little nuggets of beer battered fish. For the main course we had seared redfish, and the lobster roll. Oh my gosh, that redfish dish was NOT fishy and when you pull your bread through the sauce and take a bite of that combo, your eyes will roll in the back of your head! We finished with the ... read more

We tried this restaurant a couple of years ago and thought we should try it again. Doubt we will be back. I ordered the mussels in wine sauce with leek, which sounded yummy. They add creme fraiche to their sauce so maybe that was the problem, but the sauce did not taste good - it was sour tasting. I left 1/2 of the mussels uneaten. My partner had the lobster roll. The bread was just right but instead of the traditional celery and mayo, they added raw red onions which of course over-powered the delicate flavor of the lobste... read more

The attractive vintage-inspired space and well prepared food were overshadowed by the high prices and the poor service. $50 for a dozen oysters. $14 for 5 deviled egg halves. When taking our order our waitress said " do you want french fries, the chips just come from a bag." no mention of the up-charge. Make sure you ask how much anything is going to cost that isn't explicitly stated in the menu. They won't volunteer it. What really put a damper on the experience was the service. Our waitress asked us if we wanted drin... read more

While it was lovely to catch up with my girlfriend and the company was absolutely wonderful, unfortunately the food and service at Walloon's were a disappointment. We were there for almost two hours because the service throughout the meal was so slow. To be fair, the beignets, which we ordered first, were actually very nice, but after that, things went rapidly downhill. My mimosa took about 20 minutes to arrive, and my friend's lemonade took nearly 30 minutes because it had been forgotten. We ordered the salmon salad. The... read more
