Service sucks here. Been going down hill for months now. Why even work for $2 an hour? Stay home and stop pissing people off. We won't be coming back after this horrible service. Some birthday dinner. Plenty of other good mexican food places to choose from. Even complaints didnt fall on a caring ear. Almost like they are tired of hearing about sh%%y service and they just dont care anymore. No wonder the place was nearly empty. Used to be our favorite place to eat weekly. Steady decline. Zero star review

Rude rude rude!!! My family and I l were staying at the hotel next door and so we decided to go to this restaurant. The hostess was more than rude and unprofessional. She took my name and the party of 4. She continued to seat visitors that entered after we arrived, including other parties of 4. I've always enjoyed coming to Mercado Juarez. We wouldn't come often because we didn't want to get burned out on it. I tell you what though.. our most recent visit was about as big of a disappointment than COVID ruining my plans last year. The salsa used to be good, but this time it tasted like bland warm tomato sauce. The meat in my tacos al carbon was bland and dry. The rice was dry and bland. Found a roach in my drink today!! Couldn't even finish my meal!! Then the manager didn't even come talk to us about it, after waiting 5 min by the front for someone to come we ended up just leaving. Was totally disappointed I use to love this place!!

My family and I went to this restaurant after church as it is literally a minute away and always been told the food is good. From the moment we walked in we received attitude about not wearing a mask. None the less we went back out to our vehicles to get mask. Than we were told we couldn't seat together as we were 11 and only 10 could seat together. We weren't served any utensils and napkins. I have eaten in this restaurant for years. I was disappointed with the chicken fajitas I ordered. The chicken was smoked and very pink as smoked meat is. It was not grilled and had a very strong smoke flavor. We could not eat it as we do not liked smoked meats. It never was cooked this way before. The chicken was the same way in the Mar y Tierra dish I ordered and the shrimp were so tiny. After thirty-five years, I don't plan to return.

I have always loved this place but when it comes to togo orders they always give way less than what you pay for. This pic was taken of 2 orders of habanero bowls neither was filled or much less even amounts. I have asked multiple times to just get what I am paying for. Each time being promised that it would be corrected but this time it was just ridiculous. Its sad bc i will no longer be ordering from the after 10+ years.

Manager was horrible and rude. Today is Veterans Day and our group was going to eat at Mercado Juarez but was refused service because one person in our group was a Veteran with PTSD and cannot wear a mask. Rest of out group was willing to put on a mask but the Manager would not budge for the one Veteran. He then told us that he didn't care that he was a Veteran or what type of disability he had and that he either put on a mask or get out. Don't go here for fajitas. Dry and bland. Not sure why there wasn't an ounce of fajita flavor and the onions tasted like straight cooking oil. The $14 price should definitely push you toward a more authentic Mexican dish. Quantity was fine. I can cook my own dry, flavorless chicken breast. NO FAJITAS!
