I enjoy this restaurant a lot and I hate that I am leaving this bad review but this place has not gotten their shit together since Covid. They don't update any of there hours twice I have walked in and they closed. I called and they didn't care. I hate to see them closed but I'll be ok if they do for sloppiness.
Good food, but don't go if you have any challenges, refused service because I couldn't wear a mask, and we're not even kind about it. There's a way to speak to customers and apparently Mr. Rodriguez has no interest in a viewpoint other than his own.
Tortillas soup lukewarm and was spilled all over the plate! Food server could care less Charro beans had no beans and lukewarm. Fajitas were crucified, totally burnt on the plate. There are to many Mexican restaurants that are good and serve hot food.
This place was pretty decent, unfortunately the food was a little basic. Won't be back but it's worth the try. Maybe it was just our night that didn't workout.
Had lunch with 6 couples after church. Due to 10 person limit for seating we had to be seated 8 and 4. Food was good but my husband ordered senior chicken taco plate and specifically asked for only chicken and cheese (no peppers or onions). When the order came he took one bite and tasted peppers and onions. He called the waitress over to ask why there were peppers and onions on his taco. She explained the meat is prepared that way and they could not be excluded. She offer a fajita instead which she brought. When the bill ca... read more
My husband and I, along with five other couples, chose to eat here after church on this Sunday. COVID guidelines were in place, so no more than 10 people were able to sit at the same table. Our group was split up among two tables that were placed side by side. That was nice. Everything was going great until one friend at our table couldn't eat his meal because it wasn't prepared as requested. The server brought him a different entree only, leaving the now room temperature rice and beans from the previous meal. He ate the foo... read more
I think this place has potential to be good but the food was iffy. Parts of the spinach in my quesadillas were black. I just really didn't feel comfortable with the quality of the food. Our server was okay but acted bothered by us asking for refills, napkins, etc. I don't think I'd return here simply based on food quality.
I have been coming to this location for about 15 years, off and on. I haven't been in a while and a nephew was looking for a some traditional Mexican food. I am sad to say the experience, for me, has steadily gone down. The price is always fair to good, never any complaints there. The wait staff is always quick; sometimes they are friendly and will smile, but they are mostly robots going about their day rather detached. Don't smile much or seem happy to be there. The ambiance is still somewhat unique with the style ... read more
Came here with a friend who moved out of state a few years ago and was visiting; she really missed this place. It was my first time at Mercado Juarez and I probably won't go back. The service was decent and the margaritas were tasty though light on tequila. The flour tortillas were obviously house made and very fresh and they were one of the highlights of the meal. I wasn't terribly impressed with the warm but mild tasting salsa and the guacamole was among the worst I've had. My burrito was helped by the presence of the tort... read more
