Where to start, this place is flat out Amazing! I had a large party for my husband's birthday but wanted it to be intimate and a great experience for all. Clay Pigeon did not disappoint. The manager went above and beyond to accommodate us. On the day of the service was impeccable and the food, omg the food! We had a good sampling of the menu and I honestly can't decide what was my favorite! Pork belly so tender and sweet. The octopus to die for. The soup of the day and pasta special were a happy dance. The lamb chops w... read more

An open letter to the chef and owners: First, let me emphasize that we have the utmost respect for restaurants owners and non-chain, local restaurants. So this review isn't intended to be negative but more of an open letter regarding our past experiences at Clay Pigeon versus our visit last Friday. We were disappointed by the lack of creativity, flavor, and wine selection. Especially due to the fact that when we dined at Clay Pigeon in the past, you were nothing short of spectacular. First, your current wine offering: I ... read more

Our first dining experience here last night sealed the deal - this is now my new favorite Fort Worth restaurant. The ambience, service, and menu are spot on, and the food is absolutely delicious. I'm sure you can't go wrong with any choice, but please try the salmon dip starter. It's the best thing I've had in a long time! Our halibut was perfectly cooked with divine crispy skin and tender inside. The roaring fire and comfy couch made our brief wait very cozy! Thank you to our server, Kevin, and to Chef Marcus Paslay for the... read more

Absolutely amazing food! This was my second visit and it was better than the first. I'm a huge steak guy and even though this place isn't known as a steak house, both times their steak of the day has beat some of the top steak restaurants including Ruth's Chris, Capitol grill, and Flemings. If you like steak, you HAVE to try the bone marrow.

Wow! Hands down best meal I've had in DFW! Drinks, service, appetizers, and everyone's meal was 100% on point! Can't wait to go back. Incredible dining EXPERIENCE!

Stopped by to have snacks at the bar. The bar was full so we waited for a table. The ambiance is very nice, the fireplace was going & that gave it a nice cozy feel. The service was very nice, warm and friendly. We ordered 2 drinks, the western sour which is dangerously easy to drink, my husband had the chefs drink which was ok. We ordered bone marrow for an appetizer (so good & would order again) lamb chops with gnocchi, I especially liked the gnocchi, the roasted veggies & lamb could've used a little salt, my husband got th... read more

3.5 stars. This was a nice place for a splurge. My partner and I came in on our anniversary for an early dinner. We were seated in a quiet corner which allowed us to take in the entire space, which is beautiful and nicely lit. I started with a couple of appetizers, and I opted for the crispy pork belly. Though I found it a smidge chewy, the flavor was wonderful, and the salad on the side complemented the heaviness of the pork belly quite well. I had the duck breast with beets as my entree, and it was definitely the best ... read more

Went to Clay Pigeon on a Tuesday night promptly after opening. We were seated promptly, and was given a nice and quiet area to ourselves. We had started off with the Pork Belly and Bone Marrow; the pork belly was delicious, and paired well with the sweeter sauce that came with it. The bone marrow was good, but it was a bit too burnt for me- there wasn't much to enjoy as I feel like it was heated up too long. For our main entree we had gotten the Lamb Chops and Duck breast- the duck breast was perfect; the spices used c... read more

Clay Pigeon was a nice experience. The food didn't disappoint. I was a bit put out by the fact that they don't offer table bread of any kind, especially at fine dining prices. Also, we dined shortly after they opened, and they were washing windows to the wine room only a table away from us, which I thought wasn't terribly appropriate. It seems as though they could have done that before opening. None of the food stands out in my recollection as unique or memorable, and we probably won't be back since there are other place... read more
