I know why the Lion is thirsty. We stopped on our way back from Thanksgiving to watch Mexico vs Argentina. While we were happy that the game was on and the wait staff were nice, that's about the only nice thing about it. Calling this a 'gastropub' is preposterous. Avocado toast for brunch seemed a safe bet. Avacado on toasted bread. How can you screw that up? The Thirsty Lion has hit the spot for years and will continue to long into the future. I have great memories eating the pepper bacon cheeseburger or the Kung Pao chicken as a child and those remain my favorites into adulthood. Great beer selection and the servers always have stellar recommendations when I don't know what I want. I don't have any comments on their dessert selection as I'm already so full and content after my main that I've never ordered one.

November 26 2022. We just had dinner, and it was a huge disappointment. We ordered the pork ramen, and the taste was awful: too smoky and also too spicy like they'd thrown five jalapeños in the bowl. We informed our server as she rushed us with the check; she said she told the kitchen. On our way out, I also shared the same feedback that i had shared without our server with one of the cooks. I sat here at the bar for 15 minutes before anyone talked to me. While sitting here, I listened to several bartenders catching up with regulars and each other. Finally, someone (outside of the bar area) came over. "Have you been helped?", she asked. I politley said, " no ". I am so appreciative of the meal and the service that Thirsty Lion Gastropub provided for me at Washington Square in Tigard, Oregon I selected one of their fall/winter specialties (it is separate from their regular menu). . . Classic suburban gastropub, have a wide variety of food options. The service is always great and food is a bit above average, but consistent. TV's are split between sports and music videos. This is my go to hungover brunch spot.

My daughter and I quite enjoyed our trip to the Thirsty Lion yesterday. We randomly chose to eat lunch here after a local mall trip. Previously I have only eaten here once, it is 30 mins. from our house. What stood out yesterday was the very good service by our server Cara. She was warm, friendly and efficient. A lot of energy.good food and a fine selection of beverages. If you are looking for a great place to enjoy some sports, good food and good drinks, this is a consistently good place to come. Thirsty Lion Gastropub was recommended to me by a friend for my birthday dinner. I called to make a reservation for a table of 9, and the hostess who answered the phone started the conversation by saying "Oh my God!" when asking for the wait time. I am a manager of a restaurant myself and understand the importance of hostess etiquette, and I was extremely unimpressed.
