Thirsty lion is definitely a family favorite. We made a reservation for my son's birthday dinner while my in laws were in town. We sat on their patio, which I really love because it has a nice moody relaxing vibe out back. The weather was perfect for a patio dinner. *dog friendly patio during certain hours. Sunday afternoon at 4, peak weekend "happy hour" & the host informed me they were closing the patio. Dogs aren't allowed indoors, so maybe they should update their hours. Idk, won't be back as this wasn't my first bad experience here.

The bartenders were super friendly and attentive. I had a pear martini, and my friend enjoyed the blood orange margarita. We loved the spicy fried cauliflower- it does have a kick to it and it gives an Asian flavor. Delicious!

Some friends and I were in town for a work event and we were recommended to try the Thirsty Lion. The server gave us some great drink recommendations and was very attentive. The food was perfectly cooked and had great flavor. We sat in the outdoor patio and the staff was very attentive when the sun was starting to set. They closed the shades for about. 1/2 hours, so the sun wasn't in our eyes, and then opened them again. They have patio heaters, although it was warm so we didn't need them. We had a pretty big party of 11 persons and our server was going Beyond expectations and was so kind and patient with all of us and we had five kids in our party. The food was really awesome and no complaints. I'd recommend this place if you like sports bars, family friendly type dining and good service with a smile.

I've been to Thirsty Lion - Desert Ridge twice: once for drinks on a Saturday night and once for dinner and drinks on a Friday evening. Located in Desert Ridge Marketplace, you won't have trouble parking. Ambiance (4/5): Thirsty Lion is a large bar and restaurant. It's a nice pub, casual yet still with some sophistication. Thirsty Lion is a place I can't wait to go back to especially for happy hour! They have an extensive drink list and you can't go wrong. I tried several drinks from a Manhattan, to a pear martini. My two favorites were the blood orange margarita and blood orange Cosmo. The food was also delicious! My two-year-old daughter had the mac & cheese. And it's probably one of the best she's ever had. I ordered the chicken wings and smoked pork Ramen(winter special). The wings were good buffalo style and not oversauced. Decent size with each piece. The Ramen was interesting in a mixed way. The smoky scent definitely comes through. The broth is a shoyu style which was okay, nothing super impressive. The celery did not really make sense as a garnish.
