So sad. Been my favorite place since 2000. Went Saturday and reviews are correct. PriPrices are up by nearly 20% food quality is horrible now. Queso was like water. They used to have great flour tortillas. They were very hard and dry. I always order the beef fajita qusadillia. Worst I've ever had. 1 tiny thin piece of fajita meat in each one and the price went up. The first-time in 25yrs of eating there I've had a bad experience. It was 5pm on Saturday and the place was near empty. Will give it one more try. Maybe they had a... read more

The new menu/brand overhaul points to a very harrowing future for fans of Mercado Juarez. Unfortunately, they are now owned by a private interest group who expect to eventually open 20 locations in the near future. If you know anything about restaurant acquisition, this is a death knell for the customer. We are going to lose a local staple to a group who only cares about profits and expansion over quality. By the way, who decided taking tamales off the menu was a good idea? I won't be back again

We have patronized your restaurant since it opened years ago almost every week. We came this week and were told the dish we have enjoyed for years was taken off the menu. This place was special because it offered several things not at the usual Tex Mex places. We would drive from near Mansfield to eat there. We have ordered Sizzling Veggies for the last 6-8 years and now they are no longer on the menu because they needed a new menu. We were so very disappointed, but the loyalty to this place kicked in and we tried ... read more
This place says it is gluten friendly which it is definitely not! When you ask the staff what does not have added flour they go out of their way to indicate there is nothing gluten friendly in the place. They say they add flour to all the meat as well as the beans and all the sauces. That is definitely not gluten friendly. And I know it is not true! Beans and grilled meat don't have added flour. They got there way thou! We will never ever go back!!!!!!!!!
Overall, I don't recommend Mercado Juarez. In my opinion, it's a restaurant whose time has come and gone. The service was spartan, but that's not to say bad. The restaurant was mostly empty for peak dinner service, and there was only one waiter for the entire great room we were seated in. We received very good service, though I had my concerns at the beginning when the glasses of water and Margaritas were very slow arriving. The food was fine, not bad, but well below average. The fajita dish was lively and fresh with br... read more
I came hear for lunch after a dr's appointment. When I drove up into the parking lot it looked closed but I found that the parking is in the back next to the back of a motel where their dumpsters are.. I after parking I still wasn't sure if they were open because there were only like ten cars including mine in the parking lot. I went in and was seated right away. The waiter came out with chips and two plastic containers of salsa. I tasted the chips and they seemed fresh but the salsa looked familiar. I was sure it was Pace P... read more
This is definitely not a true mexican restaurant. All we wanted was real nachos and we ordered the nachos supreme, it came out with shredded chicken out of a can, queso and pinto beans. I returned it I hate queso... And where was the black olives, real guacamole, and all the other stuff that comes on nachos Spring. I hate Taco Bell, and i'd go there before I come here ever again.
We were close by and wanted to try something new. Kinda sad we did. Everything was blah at best, service, food, ambiance. It's pretty over priced for the quality of the meals. Our food was so bland and unappealing neither of of finished close to half of our plates. The only thing that was worth the money was the side of tortillas we got. They are very very good.
I hadn't been to Mercado Juarez in a long time. I was looking forward to eating it again. I was most looking forward to the chips and warm salsa. But, no such luck. The salsa was not the same. It was certainly not warm. The chips were stale. The flour tortillas were fresh and delicious. Food was standard quick Tex Mex. Our waitress was great. The whole place just felt dirty and not the same Mercado Juarez I remember.
