This place is mid at best. It is so overpriced and the food is extremely salty. I've given it more than a few chances and it is extremely poor quality for what they are charging.

Woof. I have been to all of Marty's restaurants and love them all. Had been saving 1845 for a special occasion, and we went there for my Wife's birthday this past weekend. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. I am actually kind of shocked at how bad the steaks were. I got the porterhouse on special and my wife got the strip. Well, I'm chalking this up to an off night for these folks. I know it's an upscale place, but 45 minutes from order to the delivery of an entree seems a bit long. We ordered the quail appetizer (over salted). When the entrees finally arrived, my wife's steak was perfect, though it was cold. She ate it anyway. I find it very offensive that the bartender asked for my credit card when I ordered a drink. I haven't been asked that in 30 years at a college bar. Very poor taste and policy at this supposedly high end restaurant. I was the best dressed person at the bar. Was it because I'm older? Very discriminatory since the bartenders didn't ask everyone. The good - the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is okay, but not worth the price point. The not so good - I have been here twice. Both times, they got my order wrong. They were good about correcting it, but 2 for 2. The second time, I ordered smoked prime rib. I ordered med rare, and it came out med well to well. How can a high end steakhouse miss this? The place kicked us out for absolutely no reason after we had sit there paying and just casually drinking and they kicked us out because their 40 year old single buddies were horny and felt scared and we got kicked out for no reason an they provided no reason the place is an over priced dump. That will kick you out for no explanation besides his buddies behind horny.

We were extremely disappointed with our recent visit, especially given this restaurant's usual reputation for excellent food and service. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing this time around--so much so that I barely ate it. I made a point to notify our waiter, but the comment was brushed off and never acknowledged. I am not impressed with the steaks at 1845 at all. Note to self . Go to the butcher shop and make your self a nice steak .
