I've never had a steak I truly enjoyed, but I've been craving one lately and decided to give 1845 a try. I've been wanting to visit for a while, and I'm so glad I finally did. One of my favorite spots. Best side options in town...au gratin potatoes to die for. Disappointed they switched out their amazing halibut for lame salmon. Still go quite often because there are many other good options.

We love 1845!! Food is consistently delicious and service is unbeatable! We travel to the Dallas area several times a year and 1845 is a must when we are there.

This time around, I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed all around. Let's start with the bar... a glass of Ruffino Rose sparkling is $16 or so, when you can buy a bottle for $12.99. Ouch. Better do happy hour. Second, there were several people coming up telling us to move here or there and it seemed like management was not on the same page. Love this restaurant! Texas themed and they play majority of Texas artists. Knew almost every song. All the food I've had the different times I've been have been amazing. Today we had a reservation for 7:30 but didn't get sat till 8 and the manager brought us a glass of champagne each. Appreciated the toast and apologies for the long wait. This place was pretty cool! Came here with my boss and a cowworker for a work trip. It is fairly loud and they play only music from artists who are from Texas. The wine menu was kinda small, I wish there had been more imported wine in the list. The servers were all nice and helpful. They were very knowledgeable about the menu. This is a great middle upscale place that prides itself on great service and food at a decent price. I've dined here a few times and i'm surprised I haven't reviewed them before. The service starts when you arrive and are greated at the door by one of the hostesses. Kind of a nice touch. Same when they open the door for you as you leave. You can taste it he difference! The steaks are very high quality and prepared perfectly The 1845 salad was excellent as well with the homemade vinaigrette with a slight kick. The brussel sprouts were great as well. The peach cobbler was a great finisher. It was more cake cobbler than pie cobbler.
