Made a reservation for 12 people. Sat in secluded area and service was awful. Food came out at different times, 2 different servers waiting on table and both forgot about the party on different occasions. Manager (female) came by to check on table and had an attitude. Overall experience was sub par. Will not be returning.
So went here last night. I feel bad for giving it one star because the service was great. The food was almost uneatable. The shrimp were overcooked, grits were gross. Venison tartare was decent but not great. The steak was overcooked. Oysters had so much sand and grit in them I thought I was going to chip a tooth.
My wife and I went to dinner and decided to stop here for an after dinner drink. We ordered a nice gin on the rocks called Monkey 47 Gin. It was $70 for two, which is steep, but that is not the issue. The issue is that Monkey 47 is a very smooth subtle gin. The gin that was given to us tasted like we were chewing juniper branches. It was obvious that they had charged us for the top shelf and poured something extremely cheap. It was easy to know this was the case as we had just left dinner and had the same drink with dinner. ... read more
Tried this place out . I love supporting local/ neighborhood restaurants. I was very disappointed. Beautiful restaurant, nice and friendly staff. Started with the fried tomatoes. It was plated like a sushi roll , drowned in remoulade and topped with ham. The fried green tomatoes were breaded with too much panko all you tasted was bread . Next was the Rainbow trout. It was horrible . Did not taste fresh , overcooked and just not pleasant. I ended up not eating my plate . My friend had the cheeseburger, which a burger from... read more
Pork skin appetizer great Drinks great Main food I will say not impressed I ordered oysters they where out!!! Got a salad just ok husband got chicken fried steak over cooked covered up by gravy... I hate given bad scores but order carefully ... I had a nasty salad yep bo good !!
Walked in at 5PM. There were maybe 6 people at the bar...3 tables seated...and empty upstairs and nobody outside. Asked for a table for 2...was told there was nothing available until 8:45PM. Really?!? Not impressed.
Food was sub par, most was over cooked. Had a large party and it took an hour after we were done eating to run our checks. Completely killed the night.
PH will leave you with an incredibly mediocre, dissatisfying taste in your mouth while you ask yourself the reason for coming in the first place. I've regrettably been here three times and each time a worse experience than the previous. One of my favorite moments was overhearing a server complaining that he was about to have another table (our party of two) while his section had three small parties and the restaurant itself was barren. Just sad. But not a problem, we were seated upstairs and the server forgot a drink order ... read more
My husband and I were in town for a week and were taking in Fort Worth and the Stockyards, so we looked for a nicer place to eat besides the abundant steak and BBQ places. We decided on this place, which was a mistake all the way around, except for the fact that we had a very accommodating server who did her job well and had a good attitude. Even when things started going south, when I sent the mixed green salad back for tasting as though it had been doused in a brine bath! Nevertheless I can understand mistakes happe... read more
