This is probably the most sub-par Italian experience I've had in my entire life. Fort Worth Italian eateries aren't the best, but this is the most overhyped and overpriced spot in town. I'm just gonna say I got charged $6 for an extra MEATBALL. That's singular... a whole meatball. For the most basic spaghetti and meatball meal I've had I paid almost $30. It's a no for me, bro.
Was so excited to try this place with my husband. We were celebrating his new business launch and unfortunately ended up getting food poisoning. We thought maybe it was the drinks but we have put away a lot more alcohol including hard liquor than just a bottle of wine and 1 cocktail before. We were miserable all night. Pathetic food, completely tasteless. They don't know what they are doing in the kitchen. Everything I ate was horrible and my whole party agreed with me.
Bad dining experience on my first and last dining experience. Was looking forward to it after being highly recommended but it completely disappointed. Ordered the eggaplant parm and received a gooey mess of cheese and sauce that had small traces of eggplant. The side of pasta was soaking in butter. Requested another order, overcooked. The bartender was not overly concerned with my experience, said I should try something different next time. Overrated and overpriced
The service was awful. We had to wait around 10 mins before anyone took our order. We ordered appetizers and drinks and said we would keep looking at menu for the main course. The appetizers came promptly but with no plates or silverware. Then after about 15 mins, the drinks had not arrived so I decided to go to the bar and see if they had our beers ready. Service sucked , hostess were rude from the beginning. We asked for a table for 7 people, and they were not willing to accommodate a table for us, although there was a visible table available to accommodate our request.
The service was good, however the food was very bland, the arugula pizza with sausage had almost no other toppings besides the arugula, and was very soggy. Pasta and bruschetta had no flavor.. nice interior and location, we made reservations for 7pm and when we arrived (with our three year old) the place was half empty and we were told there was nothing available besides outside in the 100 degree weather. My wife and I have been to Piattello at least six times. On our first couple of visits we were blown away by the Tagliatelle Bolognese. So light and delicious! We've tried a couple of the pizzas but were never very impressed. Overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately on our last couple of visits the tagliatelle has just not been the same. This place missed the mark. Very cute inside. Nice enough service. But, the food was really just meh. And way overpriced for what we got. It honestly reminded me of a bertuccis or a not as tasty version of Carabas. The meat in the pasta dish tasted like and had the texture of cat food (similar to a can of friskies patte). The salad was over dressed as in drowning in dressing, def would have better slight less covered. Pizza was okay, but not worth 20 bucks. We won't be going back.
