This was so hottt but amazing the tortillas and the server super good ...definitely want to back
Everything is always good and fresh, would recommend the nachos and enchiladas. The service is always nice and quick.
I have been eating here probably close to 27 years and 90% of the time it is spot on. I love the hot sauce and the fact that it is heated. One of the few Tex Max places around that still cook flour tortillas in house and they are good. The beef Fajitas are tender and flavorful and so are the chicken enchiladas. The beans and rice are always good and this is one of the few places that I eat the rice.
I've been a huge fan of Mecardo Juarez ever since the chain started decades ago. One reason is their signature "warm" salsa. I love, love, love it. They used to dust their tortilla chips with chili powder to give the chips that extra "snap." Unfortunately, they no longer do that, but I still remain a fan of Mecardo Juarez and their food. Love love love this place! Food is amazing! Fajita nachos on point! Pretty awesome when you get an entire piece of fajita meat on each nacho! Chips and salsa amazing! Monterey Jack cheese and onion enchiladas fantastic! Rice and bean's fantastic! AWESOME QUESO!!!! Tacos are terrific! The chips & salsa were excellent. The enchiladas that I ordered weee fantastic! I definitely will return soon! Also, I loved how the salsa with the chips was temperature hot and not cold. Very good!
Y'all, I'm telling you, you've got to come get some of this carne asada! The portion was jaw dropping and, listen, when I tell you how juicy and savory each bite of this was, I completely forgot about the mid service. They thought I was odd for asking for hot sauce or salsa verde. Like, genuinely we're confused what I was asking for. I'm at a Mexican restaurant, what do you mean you don't know if you have any??? It was worth the build up, though.
I drive by Mercado Juarez all the time, telling myself I should stop there. I was coming home from the airport the other night and there was an accident on 20, I decided, tonight is the night.
