MJR has been our favorite mexican restaurant in Arlington for 42 years, but sadly no more. The last 3 meals we've had were just so-so, and no longer worth the drive from Mansfield. We were there for an early lunch (11:30) and yet my husband's beef Fajitas were tough and strangely very dry, as if it was the end of service and not the beginning. The guac was very lime heavy and the even the warm salsa (which I will really miss!) had very uneven cuts of onion which were hard to manage on a chip! My chicken tampico was also dry ... read more

Life is ment to be Loved to the Fullest I had a wonderful meal will return again the service was suburb. I just wanted to get up and go out and go to someplace close but cozy and this fit the Bill. I can't tell you anything wrong on the menu cause everything was absolutely wonderful. I will be visiting before the end of the year.

This is our go to for Mexican food . The charro beans are delicious and their steak and shrimp Combo is the best . Tortillas are awesome . Wait staff very friendly ! Margarita good and cold !

Went here with a large group and the food was very good as was the service. Large portions and the food came out very quickly. Doesn't quite have the ambiance of the one in Fort Worth, but overall It was very solid

MJR is still a great place to eat after many years. Stopped by while back in town for a Friday lunch around 1:00. Very small wait to get a table. Got pretty crowded by the time we left around 2:00 rising to a little bit noisy noise level. We got a guacamole side, taco plate, chicken chimichanga, and blue Cancun drink. Everything was pretty good sized. However, the guac and drink respectively were padded with lettuce and ice. Despite the padding, you still got a good amount--just not as much as it appears. I really like this restaurant for some good Mexican food and a nice margarita! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our waiter, Carlos was awesome and hilarious!
This is a favorite go to place...unfortunately this trip did not stand up...the service was slow and the order was wrong. The food was only warm not hot...and it did not have the same vibe as usual. Somewhat disappointing...

I don't know of anyplace that has better steak fajitas. Mercado didn't let me down, we went to this location in Arlington for an early dinner and the food and service were great our server, Roman, took good care of us. The beef was tender not stringy or tough. Flavor was delicious and I got stuffed. I'll be back.

So, I used to be a Mercado Juarez lover and about year or so ago we went and it was terrible. I did not think I would ever go back. My pregnant daughter wanted it today and I decided I would give it a shot again. I'm glad I did. It was like it used to be. Chips, salsa, and fajitas were all excellent. The server was really great too. I'm glad my daughter had a craving for it because it forced me back in the door!
