The food was fabulous as usual, the wait staff were all wonderful, knowledgeable and pleasant. My reasoning for a 2 star review and us never come back to this restaurant is due to the manager and what he said to us. My partner and I have come here many times and spent about $400 every time we come. I don't care who you are $400 for a dinner is excessive in this day and age but it's nice to treat yourself right? Well after our experience and how the manager made us feel we will not be back and we will not recommend this re... read more

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. While we're glad to hear you enjoyed the food and that Eileen helped make you feel welcome, we're deeply sorry for the interaction you had with our manager. What you described is not aligned with the values we hold at Clay Pigeon. Every guest should feel equally respected and appreciated, regardless of appearance or background. We understand how upsetting that moment must have been, especially as a returning guest who’s supported us time and again. Your feedback is bei... read more

So my son picked this pace for his Birthday dinner. And I was really excited to try it. Our waitress was so sweet and friendly. She told us about three daily specials and that everything was locally sourced and the chef was outstanding. So I ordered two of the daily specials. My first was the soup, cream of tomato. It came out Luke warm but tasty. I really like my soup to be on the hotter side. So my next was the pasta of the day. It was made in house and was a tomato base with shrimp and crab. But the actual pasta was tough... read more

Staff was friendly. Restaurant was very adorable. Food was ok. My husband and I wanted to support local for our 5 year anniversary. I wrote twice in our reservation it was our anniversary. We were COMPLETELY FAILED by the staff on this one. Not even a single happy anniversary. SMH. It was not a night of celebration. It was not a good feeling. I guess next year we'll be returning to chain restaurants like The Capital Grill that are equipped for making celebrations special for their guest. :/

Terrible. Don't get the burger, comes out with a soggy bottom and grisly burger patty. Pan seared chicken , ha. For $32 for the tiniest piece of chicken. Honestly this place is overhyped and not worth it. Pass.

While reading reviews I was really excited to enjoy an evening of fine dining at Clay Pigeon. However, I left feeling really disappointed. + Let me start with the positives. * The host and servers were fantastic and very helpful. * The atmosphere was very nice as well, (minus the drunk lady who was borderline yelling the whole time.) + Now on to the negatives. * Surprisingly the food was just ok. Our server quickly informed us that 1/2 the menu was unavailable. "They were out." We started with the Roast... read more

It was... fine. My husband I went for an anniversary dinner. I've been wanting to try for awhile and we drove from the other side of DFW. I ordered the prickly pear cocktail and it wasn't my favorite. Very sweet tart-esque and not very balanced. I wanted to drink it fast before the food came because I couldn't enjoy my food with it. The highlight was the Brussels sprouts. Great flavor, loved the bacon in it. The salmon was tasty, but 3 halves of marble potatoes and 4 green beans is a little stingy IMO. My husband ordered t... read more

Waitress was amazing, very comforting, knowledgeable about drinks and the menu, and was extremely helpful.... This review has nothing to do with her, she was phenomenal. My review begins with the appetizers; 1. Bone marrow - over charred, spoonful or two in the first one, there was none in the second one, but was covered with an excessive amount of fennel. 2. Beets and burrata - Bland, and huge chunks that weren't easy to chew, they are beets don't ruin them... I get the effort trying to dress it up, but if you want piz... read more

Maybe I'm cheap, but nothing spectacular about the food. The experience is cool and the place is beautiful, but overpriced. Everyone left hungry. My wife and I got normal entrès and had a drink each. The kids got fries and Mac and cheese. $200 bill.

This is a fail at fine dining. I came here expecting quality food, only to be disappointed at sub par cooking. I won't blame the owner/chef for the dish I was served, but there is definitely a lack of attention to their food. I think you can come here and expect "fine dining" is you've only ever had Chili's or Apple Bees, but don't expect anything great if you've had otherwise.
