First time in, Subpar steaks at best, we didn't even get to enjoy and finish our salads before the meal showed up. Waitstaff was very nice and pleasant, however, the young lady waiting on us never asked us for another cocktail, nor refilled our ice water. If you see a patrons drink is empty fill it up, a drink should never, ever be empty and full at all times. 1845 Taste Texas delivered an exceptional dining experience. The steak was a standout--perfectly seared and cooked to a precise medium-rare. Every bite was wonderfully juicy, tender, and packed with rich flavor. The au gratin potatoes served in a rustic iron skillet were rich, creamy, and the ultimate comfort food side. A must-visit spot!

It's been a while since we've been able to stop by 1845, but tonight we made it a point to be at the bar for happy hour and then dinner. We started off with the smoked wings appetizer which was as close to the old JR's Grill (IYKYK) as we've ever found. Fantastic. We moved on to the smoked prime rib and blackened redfish for dinner. We have now been here twice. Both meals were wonderful with the service too notch. Loved the pork chop, which is huge and shared along with the roast beef with extra horseradish on the side.

The food was uniquely Texas, delivered hot, fresh and timely. Impeccable service. We Loved the Texas Experience appetizer platter of quail, pork belly, meatballs and fried jalepenos. Great with a Clyde Barrow. Atmosphere was nice - dim for an intimate dinner.

Best steak I've ever had!! Great atmosphere, great vibe, great service, can't wait to go back. They literally wait for you to cut into the steak to make sure you are happy with how it's cooked.
