I have been here several times and from day one it has been excellent. Service and all. The person who said service was terrible must be Karen type person or not easily approachable because each and every time everyone is so nice and attentive. Drinks and food was really good. The person who was serving is, seemed like they preference to be anywhere else but there. Seemed like we were a distraction from what they were there for, which seemed to socialize with other workers. Which I'll say, i do like when workers seem to get along and enjoy being around each other, but did feel like they didn't want to be bothered by us. I'd still go back tho. For our last dinner in Glendale, we visited the Thirsty Lion. It was a pleasant surprise that they had a happy hour 7 days a week. I had the Hibiscus Vodka Breeze and Hubby had the Spicy Mango Margarita. Both made well. We shared the Grilled Steak Salad, Grilled Burger Sliders, California Roll, and Ahi Poke Stack. There was plenty of food to share and it tasted fantastic. Jake was our server and took good care of us. Very convenient location and good value for good quality food. They do advertise it as a scratch kitchen.

Decided to visit this location before a concert. This was our first visit. We arrived at 3pm to order from the happy hour menu only to be told that they do not offer happy hour when events are scheduled. The website states happy hour every day 3pm-6pm. It does not indicate any exclusions. This is clearly misleading information and false advertising. We decided to stay and our server was very sweet. This place is good!!! My parents and I were looking for a place to eat and we settled on this place! I couldn't decide whether to order the chicken and waffles and the breakfast burger. I ended up ordering the breakfast burger without tomato! It was delicious! I got a ritual old fashioned mocktail, but I didn't care for it. The baked pretzel was delicious! It had three dipping sauces, but the honey mustard was my favorite! Our waiter, Arthur, was also very nice! Next time, I will order the spicy chicken and waffles!

I embarrasly had to ask Celina if she had multiple sisters working while I was in for a business meeting. Drinks stayed topped, food practically teleported to our table, she cracked the perfect jokes, and still remembered who ordered the sandwich with "extra pickles but not too extra, and a lot of sauce but not too much." No AC IN phoenix. I actually asked if it was cooler upstairs and was told it was by hostess and manager. We were at this location do to a concert. NO happy hour. Ok. I understand but not when it's miserable. I wanted something off the seasonal menu. That was a big NO. WATER pour out of plastic jugs that had seen heat. Other half had to eat so he ordered a burger WELL. It was still very pink but we weren't going to sit in the heat any longer.

Service was amazing. We've been here 3 times since the opening (been to desert ridge a fee times as well) so we are familiar with thirsty lion. Normally food is good..... But we went in with friends Friday August 1st, and noticed the servers fanning each other, fans all around the floor, and about 10 minutes after sitting at our table, our entire group of 6 was sweating. We went in tonight around 6 pm we got seated pretty fast the hostess was on it made sure we got seated fast even added a seat to high top to accommodate us. Took about 10 minutes to get waters no biggie pretty busy night so understandable. Waiter takes our drink order after delivering waters. About 15 minutes later he comes to check in on us, he realizes oh crap I haven't even brought them their drinks. Bring us our drinks about 5 minutes later.
