We had gotten to the point that the mere thought of having restaurant Italian food out made our stomachs turn. Typical Italian food is so processed and tasteless that I'd rather open a jar of store bought sauce then go out to eat. So, here we were wanting Italian food but not the run of the mill type. Best Italian in the fort! Their fish special and crostini are a must try! Yummmy! The fresh bread is perfect too! Facilities are bright, active and a fun place overall.
The food is definitely the star here! From cacio e Pepe to tagliatelle bolognese, from house made ricotta with sourdough toast to pork Milanese, have never had a bad meal here. Menu is seasonal and deliocioso!!!

The fall 2022 menu is small, there aren't more options especially in pastas. We ordered a couple of appetizers; I got PEI MUSSELS in which they were savory and relatively good, it has a strong flavor and a notable spicy touchiness. Fantastic food and Great Service. The pasta's as fresh as it gets-- tastefully delivered by a well trained staff. This is our go-to Italian Ristorante. Never disappoints. Recommend to anyone looking for good pasta, nice ambiance, and attentive staff. Tucked away in an unassuming locale. Don't let that stop you! I was starving and had forgotten to go grocery shopping. So I stopped in here. I sat at the bar. My young female server was fantastic. And my meal, which was called eggplant parm was good. This place is in a great location just off the Trinity. I've ordered the lasagna both times and loved it. They so provide an espresso martini that is out of this world! I can't speak to their other pasta dishes, but they do offer a GF option for most of their dishes, which is a great bonus for those with allergies or sensitivity to gluten. Amazing food! Here moving my daughter out of TCU. The homemade ricotta appetizer is the GOAT! Great atmosphere, friendly and clean!
