They don't list happy hour prices on the menu online so I have no idea if I would want to go here. I called the restaurant to ask where I can see the prices or if they could tell them to me and the lady on the phone said, "if you come in you can see our menu". Not helpful. Not convenient. It could be a great restaurant but I won't know!

party, 16 people, really slow start on pitcher of beer and wine. Too long of waits here and there. Food was good. Lots of room, fun place.

We've been regulars here for years. Always stop on our way to and from the coast. Today's lunch was fine but I was really offended by the music videos. I'm no prude - in fact we were eating in the bar. The TVs were playing throughout the restaurant. They use the videos for their background music vibe. R rated at least. Really?
I have loved Thirsty Lion since I first discovered it when they had a location in downtown Portland. IMO one of the best things on the menu was the Scotch eggs. They were always perfect and delicious. Of course nearly all their food is delicious. In addition, service is excellent no matter which one you go to. That being said, they no longer offer Scotch eggs. I would go out of my way just for those eggs, but now I probably won't go 12 miles for just pub fare. The place has an upscale vibe with friendly staff, music videos on large screen tv, a huge bar and dining room. We like the booths, although the lighting has something to be desired with pendants hanging just above eye level and shining brightly on the food with a bit too much light in my eye for comfort. My recent experience wasn't all that great. I was hanging out with my sister and we decided to grab a bite. It was 8:30pm and not a lot was open at that time of night on a Monday in Hillsboro. We saw that Thirsty Lion was open till 10pm. The ambiance is nice when we walked in. Got seated immediately. Service is prompt and friendly. Service was good, food has gone down hill in the last 2 months. They play inappropriate videos on their tv screens that are not family friendly. Won't be going back.

I stopped in for happy hour and had a great experience. Chris was my server, and he was excellent. I'm a bariatric patient, so I can eat very little at a time. I had 2 drinks, a margarita and one of the seasonal drinks. Both were excellent. I was appreciative that I was able to take my leftovers with me. I got the fried chicken sliders, and they were so good! I hear that they allow dogs outside? I might need to bring my doggo some day soon. Regardless, I will be back.

Interesting and well-executed entrees. Service was wonderful. Can get a little loud at peak times, but definitely a go-to.
